Great coloring book to use before or after a zoo trip. Can be used to prime expectations of what to see at the zoo or to refresh memories and build long term learning after visiting the zoo. The text and detail in the drawings make this book clearly aimed at slightly older children. I do not think the minimum age of 3 is appropriate. However, if a parent reads the captions and the child focuses only on coloring the animals, perhaps you could use these pages for a young toddler. I suggest scanning the images into a computer so you can edit out portions to make the scene more focused on the animals for littlest ones.
